This soft and sleek cuvée from Veuve Clicquot is loaded with flavors of baked apples, lemon zest, grilled nuts, and baking spice. Bright acid and persistent mousse lead to a creamy, palate-coating finish. Founded in 1772, Veuve Clicquot is credited with inventing the process of riddling (removing yeast cells from finished wine). This vintage of Gold Label Brut is composed of about ⅔ Pint Noir and 1/3 Chardonnay, with a smidge of Pinot Meunier thrown in for good measure.
