Former pharmacist turned winemaker Giuseppe Benanti founded his namesake estate in the late 1980s, dedicating his life to the pioneering of Etna’s unique soils, microclimates, and native grape varieties. Fruit for this varietal Carricante is handpicked and vinified entirely in steel, giving way to a bright final wine, noted with flavors of citrus, stone fruit, and smoke.
