Regarded as the greatest producer of Chablis, Francois Raveneau’s bottles show a quality and consistency unlike any other. Fruit for the 2014 ‘Butteaux’ comes from a small 1.5 hectare plot, with vines averaging 45 years in age, rooted into Kimmeridgian limestone. Concentrated yet fresh, the wine shows gorgeous floral-tinged saline aromas, with a citrus driven, powerful palate; hands down one of the best 1er Cru Chablis’ out there.
