Former pharmacist turned winemaker Giuseppe Benanti founded his namesake estate in the late 1980s, dedicating his life to the pioneering of Etna’s unique soils, microclimates, and native grape varieties. ‘Contrada Cavaliere’ is a light and bright varietal Carricante, marked by flavors of lemon rind, salt, and gunflint. This mineral-laced bottle shows insanely bright acidity and is marked by a long-lasting finish.
