This delicious rosé is produced at the hands of our friends over at Presqu’ile Winery in the heart of Santa Barbara. If you’ve been following us for a while, you know that our love for this winery knows no limits. This wine’s vinification is as straightforward as it gets: direct-to-press organic fruit, native yeasts, and five months of aging in steel. 
Region/Appellation - Santa Maria Valley AVA
The Santa Maria Valley AVA is located on the northern end of Santa Barbara County. It is one of the oldest grape-growing areas in central California, with roots dating back to the 1830s. Commercial winemaking began in the 1960s, and today, over 3,000 hectares are planted to vineyards. The valley is characterized by a natural funnel shape and dramatic altitudes (200 to 3,200 feet above sea level). Sandy loam and clay loam soils dominate a majority of the region. The Santa Maria Valley’s direct opening to the Pacific Ocean makes it accustomed to daily morning fog, which creates cooler growing conditions and a longer growing season (with minimal rainfall) within the vineyards. The Santa Maria Valley AVA is best known for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah.
